Your Environment:
More than 550 million OEM toner and inkjet cartridges are manufactured every year. If these cartridges are not diverted from our landfills, this equates to over 1,000 tons of unnecessary pollution that can enter our waste stream every day. In addition to this potential waste, more than three quarts of oil are consumed during the manufacturing of every OEM cartridge. This equates to more than 375,000,000 gallons of oil consumed every year to make toner and inkjet cartridges. Even worse than these staggering atrocities is that many cartridges end up in cities like Guiyu, China where they are incinerated or dissolved with hazardous chemicals to extract residual metals. These processes contaminate the local air, soil and groundwater and one in ten children in Guiyu have birth defects due to this horrific pollution.
Print Green USA, Inc. Laser Toners and Ink Cartridges are environmentally-correct. Print Green USA conserves nature's resources by reusing certain non-wearing plastic shells and metal components from spent OEM cartridges. Print Green USA is proud to have a manufacturer that produces more than 100,000 environmentally conscious toner and inkjet cartridges every month. Print Green USA is proud to offer additional recycling services (we recycle all toners and inks) for your spent and/or surplus imaging supplies. Please attempt to bundle as many empty toner and inkjet cartridges when shipping back for recycling. Help us preserve our environment for generations to come. Please reduce, reuse, and recycle. What is page yield?
Page
yield is the number of pages that you can print
with a printer cartridge. It is also known as ink or toner
cartridge
yield. Page yield is one of the factors you should consider when
purchasing a printer cartridge. Some printer cartridge
manufacturers use
general terms such as standard yield or high yield to describe the
cartridges, but each printer cartridge model should have a page
yield
(the number of pages it can print under standard conditions). It
gives the consumers an estimate of the cost per page (CPP) for
that
cartridge. Other than page yield, you should also consider
factors
such as the price, print quality, reliability, warranty, etc. when
purchasing a printer cartridge. Print Green USA toners and ink cartridges are guaranteed to provide the highest cartridge page yields.
Page
yield is affected by many things such as the
content or the image you print, print settings, paper type, paper
size,
frequency of use, how much time passes between each use, and
environmental
conditions (temperature and humidity).

| Printer Care and Proper Handling Of Toners and Ink Cartridges |
|
|
|
|
|
|
1. Use Printer Maintenance Kits Regularly- Printer Maintenance kits, available at Print Green USA, will be your first defense against printer decline. They should be installed by a certified technician at predetermined page counts recommended by the manufacturer of the machine. The cost of the kit will far offset by your savings in repairs. 2. Print Quality- Poor print quality can be attributed to many factors, including defective cartridges or improper installation. Its important to print something at least several times per week to maintain your printer's proper function. Regular use of your printer promotes proper flow through the machine and prevents clogging. 3. Keep Printer Clean-The printing process inevitably creates dust, the amount of which is largely dependent on the average number of pages printed per week and the weight of the paper. Clean the interior of your printer using a can of compressed air every one to two weeks to improve the ability of your printer to feed pages. Remember also to visually inspect your printer on a regular basis for any unwanted debris that may have inadvertently fallen into it. Remember to never use an electrical powered vacuum to clean your printer, as it can possibly damage the (static) electronics of the printer beyond repair.
4. Keep the Print Head Clean. The print head should be kept clean in order to ensure that ink/toner clogging does not occur in the outlet nozzles. This problem can be fixed by removing the cartridge and gently cleaning the print head with a soft cotton cloth or Q-tip dipped in water. Snap the cartridge in and out a couple times to get a good connection after cleaning. Print Green USA sells Print Heads for many printer models. 5. Keep The Printer Nozzles Clean- Indications of clogged nozzles include faint output, unprinted lines running across the page, or no visible printing at all. Many printers come with a nozzle-clearing function that draws ink through the nozzles to unclog them. 6. Handle Ink Cartridges Properly When Replacing- Ink cartridges are very fragile, more specifically, the electrical contacts and chips. The cartridge may become damaged or impeded by fingerprint oil, which can cause subsequent errors in your printing efforts. 7. Shut Down Properly- Don't forget to turn your printer off when it will be out of use for some hours. Proper shut-down will help prevent clogging of the nozzles in the print head. Remember to use the printer's on/off switch, not a power strip, to ensure full activation of the printhead capping mechanism and, thus, to prevent drying/clogging of the printhead nozzles.
8. Make Use of Diagnostic Tools- All printers have built-in self-test programs and other software diagnostic utilities. Take the time to learn how to access and use them. The information found in these progams can help prevent frequently encountered problems in printer use. 9. Safely Store Your Printer- For a variety of possible reasons, you may decide to remove your printer from use for a period of time. Most printers should be stored with the ink tanks in place, whether they are empty or not. Removing the cartridges exposes the ink feed tubes directly to the drying effects of air. You also should cover the stored printer to prevent dust and other debris from entering the printer. You can find more information on storage specific to your printer on your manufacturer's website.

Ten Myths
About Compatible / Remanufactured Cartridges
Many
consumers have concerns when they purchase
compatible and remanufactured printer cartridges for the first
time.
Although they know that these discount cartridges can help them
save a lot
of money, they may worry about print quality, printer warranty,
page
yield, etc. Here are the top 10 myths about compatible and
remanufactured
cartridges explained.
1) Compatible
or remanufactured cartridges won’t work for my printer
Hundreds
of thousands people purchase and use
compatible and remanufactured cartridges each day. No matter
which brand
of printer you are using now, you can find compatible or
remanufactured
cartridges that work for your printer model.
2)
Compatible or remanufactured cartridges are inferior to OEM
cartridges
There
are many third party manufacturers making
compatible and remanufactured cartridges in the market these
days. Some
of them may not produce high quality products but many others
including Print Green USA follow the
highest standard (ISO standard) using the same specification of
OEM
cartridges in their production. These high quality compatible or
remanufactured cartridges perform just as well or better than the
OEM
cartridges.
3)
Remanufactured cartridges are made by simply refilling the
old
cartridges
Not
true. Remanufactured cartridges are cartridges
that have gone through one cycle of service. These cartridges are
thoroughly cleaned, with worn or damaged parts replaced. The
cartridges
are then filled with new ink or toner formulation. Microchips are
replaced to ensure proper function of the cartridges. All
cartridges are
inspected for leakage and tested by actual print test. Only those
that
pass through strict standards will be released to the market.
4) Old
ink or toner are used in the remanufactured or compatible
cartridges
Both
compatible and remanufactured cartridges use new
ink or toner formulation in the production. Each cartridge model
has a
different ink / toner formulation so it is not possible to collect
and
reuse the old ink / toner in old cartridges. In addition,
contaminated
ink / toner are not reusable as they may cause damage to the
cartridges
and printing problems.
5) Use
of compatible or remanufactured cartridges will damage your
printer
This is
another myth printer manufacturers want you to
believe so they can sell you very expensive OEM cartridges.
Printer
cartridges are self contained units. Defective cartridges may
fail to
print or may leak requiring some cleanup. However, these
malfunctions
will not damage your printer and they happen to OEM cartridges as
well
as compatible or remanufactured cartridges.
6) Compatible
or remanufactured cartridges have limited warranty
Reputable
manufacturers of compatible and
remanufactured cartridges provide 100% guarantee and extended
warranty (1
year) or with Print Green USA (3 year) to the customers. This warranty period is similar or even
better
than that of OEM cartridges. Within the warranty period, if you
are not
satisfied with the performance of these cartridges, you can return
them
for a free replacement or full refund.
7) Compatible
or remanufactured cartridges have lower page yield
The
page
yield
/ cartridge yield of each cartridge should be stated in
product
specification regardless of the type of cartridges. Many
compatible and
remanufactured cartridges are high yield cartridges, producing
much more
print output than the standard yield OEM cartridges. No matter
whether
you are purchasing OEM, compatible or remanufactured cartridges,
always
compare the page yield and the printing cost per page before the
purchase.
8) Returning
old cartridges to printer manufacturers are as environmentally
friendly as
purchasing remanufactured cartridges
Only a
small percentage of empty cartridges are reused
and recycled by the OEM manufacturers. The majority are dumped in
the
landfills or disposed in third world countries.
9) OEM
cartridges are made by the printer manufacturers in the USA
Not
true. Most OEM cartridges are not made by the
printer manufacturers themselves. They are made by third party
manufacturers licensed to produce these brand name products. Most
of
these OEM products are in fact manufactured in other countries.
10) Using
compatible and remanufactured cartridges will void your printer
warranty
This is not true.
Under the
Magnusson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, it is illegal
for a manufacturer to force you to use a specific product as a
condition
of a warranty. Printer manufacturers cannot void your printer
warranty
simply because you use compatible / remanufactured cartridges from
other
manufacturers.

The principal concept behind our engineering is to become conscious of, and then correct flaws inherent to the rudimentary design of the cartridge. In addition to discovering and eliminating OEM defects; our manufacturer utilizes distinct methods that surpass standard remanufacturing industry protocols. Some examples of this are our patented welding and laser cutting technologies for cartridges. These proprietary and patented processes automate otherwise manually performed operations (such as those used in ink refill shops), thus eliminating variation, reducing cost, and increasing productivity. Print Green USA constantly reviews manufacturing methods with our manufacturer such as these to assure that our products are superior to the competition, and continue to add value to the supply chain channel. Having control of the entire remanufacturing process enables us the ability to examine every aspect and component of a cartridge. During the dismantling and then re-assembly procedure many design problems and flaws are illuminated and then eliminated. This is where we excel, through the continuous creation of modifications and improvements. Examples such as the our JUMBO cartridge for the HP 4000 4127X, that yields 50% more pages (at 5% coverage) than the standard 10,000-page HP model.

| Compatible Toners, Half The Price |
|

|
|
|
|
The Use Of Compatible or Remanufactured Ink Cartridges, Laser Toners, Drums or Fusers WILL NOT VOID YOUR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.
It is against the law for a manufacturer to void your warranty because
you used an aftermarket product. Magnuson Moss Act 1975 Federal Trade
Commission.
New
Compatible cartridges are manufactured by third parties, and will not
have the Origninal Equipment Manufacturer "OEM" (HP, Brother, Dell, Samsung, Lexmark, Canon, Pitney Bowes
etc) name brand. Typically, they cost about half of the price of an OEM
cartridge, but they are manufactured with the same technology and
standards of the brand name cartridge. Compatible cartridges are direct
copies of the OEM and should fit your printer perfectly. There are two
categories of compatible cartridges: 1) 100% new components and
2) new and recycled components.

- Typically, two separate cartridges are inserted into a printer: one
containing black ink and one with each of the three primary colors. Alternatively, each primary color may have a dedicated
cartridge.
- Some cartridges contain ink specially formulated for printing
photographs.
- All printer suppliers produce their own type of ink cartridges.
Cartridges for different printers may be incompatible — either
physically or electrically.
- Since replacement cartridges from the original manufacturer of the
printer are often expensive, several vendors produce "compatible"
cartridges as less expensive alternatives. These cartridges sometimes
have more ink than the original OEM branded ink cartridges and may
produce the same, better, or inferior quality, depending on a variety of
factors, including the vendor's ability to duplicate the ink
formulation in all respects. Print Green USA ink cartridges are guaranteed to perform as well as the OEM counterpart.
- Some cartridges have incorporated the printer's head (examples
include HP, Dell, and Lexmark).
The precision parts required generally make the cartridges more
expensive, but the printers are cheaper since they don't include the
precision print head. Other cartridges don't include the print head and
so can cost less, though the printers tend to be somewhat more expensive
(Epson is an example).
